About Me
family:Verdana"GOD,
grant me the serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change,
the courage to change
the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
I was driving to work today and realized that the route I usually take was congested. There has been construction on Rt. 120 since the beginning of summer, but some days has more traffic than others. So I decided to turn left onto O'Plaine Rd and mapped a totally different way to work. I had this alternate route in mind, but when it came to the next main street that I wanted to take I noticed that the line of cars for that left turn lane was way too long for me to want to wait in so I decided to keep straight and mapped out yet another route in my head to get to work. By the time the last street that I needed to get on draws near the 2 lights before it was red so I turned right onto a side street (it was actually the street that was circling Hawthorn Mall with no lights and just 2 stop signs that I ended up blowing) to avoid all the traffic lights since I still had a few miles to go. The rest of the way was relatively quick. I made it to work 3 minutes late, but if I had stayed on my original path or the other 2 alternate ones I'm sure I would have been later than just 3 minutes. Now, do I know this for sure? No, but I was happy in the path I had chosen to get to my destination.
This short journey to work today made me see that there is a destination that we want to reach in life and we can "map" our lives out as much as we want, but that doesn't mean that something, some place or someone won't make us decide on an alternate route or two. And some paths may help us reach our destination quicker and some may not, it depends on which "roads" we decide to "travel" on... :) and that the journey was a good one...the end.

Randomness: I love YOU

My Interests

I miss playing in the rain on a warm summer's night, I enjoy the time I share with my parents, I cherish the fun I have with my friends, and I crave for moments of sleep. I welcome hugs and kisses, hold on to good memories, and love the feeling of achievement.

I'd like to meet:

He makes me smile and the thought of him makes my heart sing a love song...sappy, I know...but it's true ;)

For a person I haven't met...I would love to meet Mr. Paulo Coelho, my most favorite author. It would be such an honor to meet someone with such creative thoughts and eloquent words. Although, if the opportunity ever arises I'd probably be at a lost for words. The characters in his book and the stories of their stories has taken me on many great adventures! It's been incredible reading his novels.

Still, I would like to meet...

The best of you.
