Music:
I'll get into it more later... HARD Rock music, both classic and new stuff; mellow stuff to remind me of driving through Northern California (think: Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, and an all-time favorite for the road, Bob Seger); some Country; an unhealthy love for shitty 80's music; and unhealthy enjoyment of HORRIBLE punk; and, I like to dance around like an idiot (those who shower at the gym will attest to this) so a lot of the fun, poppy junk that's on BBC has a special place in my locker-room heart.
Movies:
American Beauty; Army of Darkness; Dangerous Beauty; Donnie Darko; Fried Green Tomatoes; Full Metal Jacket; Gentlemen Prefers Blondes; Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels; Orgazmo; The Princess Bride; Sideways; Town and Country; What Dreams May Come (visually stunning). This probably does not include my favorites but these come to mind at this time
Television:
Scrubs, Most Haunted, Malcolm in the Middle, anything on The History Channel... but I don't typically watch television
Which "Saved By The Bell" Character Are You?
Books:
As my mind struggles to grasp the subtleties of our Philosophic greats, I find myself frequently having to refer to religious texts to understand the context in which many of the "Moral" authors were writing. However, on the side I am reading Umberto Eco's "Foucault's Pendulum" and Irving Stone's "The Agony and the Ecstasy" as fiction and "A Short History of the World" by J. M. Roberts. I love to read, and can think of little that thrills me quite in the same way as a book. Whether it be the first crack of the spine of a new paperback or well-turned pages softened by time, a shiver of delight runs down my spine with the commencement of each new piece. To read another's words is to catch a brief glimpse into the soul of the author, even in works of non-fiction. English a delightfully versatile language, and I truly find warmth in the hundreds of combinations of words that can on the face seem so nearly identical, yet convey literally thousands of subtle different meanings...
You're Love in the Time of Cholera!
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Like Odysseus in a work of Homer, you demonstrate undying loyalty by
sleeping with as many people as you possibly can. But in your heart you never give
consent! This creates a strange quandary of what love really means to you. On the
one hand, you've loved the same person your whole life, but on the other, your actions
barely speak to this fact. Whatever you do, stick to bottled water. The other stuff
could get you killed.
