Somewhere in 1997 a band called “Vomit†had their first gig in Roeselare. Vomit then was a rock/metal burstout with aggressive vocals, mixed with wacko samples. The band contained 6 members from bands such as Teddy’s Pyama and Mindstab. Due to a lack of time and conformity within the band Vomit splitted.
Until the year 2003, when 3 of the original members (Joye, Bart and Davy) came back to give the beast another try. This time for real. A few months later they found a guitarplayer called Vlote and Fredn (Davy’s brother) decided to start playing the bass. Punto Blanco was born.Punto Blanco plays rock with an open-mind: stonerrock, metal, funk, yes, even country can be an influence. Their conclusion: everything starts and ends with rock ‘n roll. Ain’t that the truth…
