This is the story of 4 close friends from Neumarkt/Bavaria (Germany) who decided to make up a band in August 2006 - it started as an experiment but two months later they had recorded their first 11 demo songs, in January 2007 they gave their first public concert in front of 500 people (the biggest club in their hometown - SOLD OUT!!) and since that moment they just kept going on and on... meanwhile they also had their debut on German radio-stations (Bayern3 Munich, NDR2 Hamburg).In June 2007 The TurningOns played their first bigger festival alongside German acts such as Culcha Candela and Jamaram.
Furthermore the band got voted "NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR 2007" in their hometown which has got a very lively music-scene.Even though until now the band didn't have the financial means to record their songs in a professional way, there's a lot of people who say that The TurningOns do have a great potential - and the fan-community is getting larger show by show.-------------------------------------------------------

The year 2008 also started very well for The TurningOns: They opened the 2008 edition of the Neumarkt "Rosenmontagsball", Bavaria's biggest indoor Carnival-Party. Some weeks later in March 2008 they won the first preliminary of "NN-Rockbühne 2008", a prestigious competition for newcomer-bands taking place every year in the city of Nuremberg (Bavaria) and they now have the best chances to reach the finals of the competition, taking place in November 2008. --- in Summer 2008 the band played another two great festival-gigs at Woodpop OpenAir (Nabburg/Bavaria) and Agratamagatha-Festival (Riedenburg/Bavaria) where they attracted plenty of people who hadn't heard anything of this band before. ---Over and over again The TurningOns enthuse their audience with great stage-performances and melodic songs, sometimes more of a rock sound, sometimes rather groovy, sometimes rather relaxed. ...and in spite of the tough conditions that newcomer-bands have to face these days - The TurningOns just keep at it! ...and so this band is already now one big insider's tip not to be missed....and there's another thing about the TurningOns that will definitely go on -
