My ambition is to read all classics

About Me

(Intellectual) curiosity(and alas, vanity) is my strength(maybe the only merit;;;). Love to try new things(including food). Briefly dabbled in Ancient Greek and Latin. Came from South Korea on december 2002. Lived in Queens, New York for 2 years(1983~4).Almost every organ on my face malfunctions. My eyesight is bad, am partially deaf, stutter terribly when nervous..currently an accountant for seafood wholesaler in LA, & live in South Pasadena. After work usually read books or watch classic movie dvds on laptop or go to gym and play basketball..and, I'm politically liberal. If you want to know more about me browsing my amazon wish list might be helpful; http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/registry.html/105-5028339- 8149204?ie=UTF8&type=wishlist&id=34AS0VCT269WC

My Interests

Books, Classic Hollywood Movies, Basketball(WNBA Conneticut Sun-Katie Douglas), USC women Tennis team(Anca Anastasiu). Was a magazine contributor for the official Korea basketball league magazine.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Mozart, Beethoven..still learning. Favorite is Mozart's 'Eine Kleine Nacht Musik'. Heard Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1 & Silvestre Revueltas' Sensemayá..was great. Also like Al Jolson & Alice Faye. Beatles is fine. LOVE Disney songs(Little Mermaid,Aladdin,etc..),and hum it sometimes. :)

Movies:

Films by Lubitsch,Kazan,Wilder,Edwards,Lumet,Sturges..'The Shop around the Corner' is the favorite. Favorite actress; Margaret Sullavan. Have about 200 classic dvds, and alas the collection is still growing;;;

Television:

For the US ones, Veronica Mars, Brothers and Sisters, One Tree Hill, Two and a half men, How I met your mother, Once & Again

Books:

Edward Gibbon's 'Decline and fall of Roman Empire' , Thackeray's 'Vanity Fair', P.G. Wodehouse's 'Ukridge' are the favorites. Books by Herman Wouk, Nathanael West, Michael Crichton, Tolkien, Rowling, Evelyn Waugh, P.G. Wodehouse, Kang Joonman, Kim Yongoak, Mark Twain, Umberto Eco..

Heroes:

Gang Joonman(a better version of Eric Alterman in S.Korea), and of course, Tom Moran(Because he knows everything), and OF COURSE, 'Barney' in 'How I met your mother'

My Blog
