About Me

I am Rob. I am an 18 year old tenor saxophone player from Norwich. I am also currently working on learning the flute, and hope soon to start on bass clarinet and soprano sax. I like playing jazz, ska, reggae, soul, experimental indo-korean dub etc. More importantly, I would love to play with you!!!

I'd like to meet:

Any girl who plays the serpent and/or the ophicleide, has a hot body, can quote Emily Dickinson and understands jokes about flat ninth chords. i.e. Q Why did the flat ninth chord cross the road? A To get to the tritone substitution!!!

Movies:

I have seen some, but they made little impression on my life.

Television:

Dr Who. wooo-ooo nangananow nangananow nangananow wooo-oo! etc. Mitchell + Webb, Pushing Daisies, the Simpsons obviously, and it's not really television but I really love Radio 4. Sad.

Books:

I like novels: Joseph Heller, George Orwell, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Robert Rankin, Solzhenitsyn, Robert Jordan (WoT), Graham Greene, Virginia Woolf, Vladimir Nabokov and lots of others. I like short stories also: Franz Kafka, Jorge Luis Borges, Hemingway etc And I love poetry! EE Cummings, WH Auden, TS Eliot, WB Yeats, Philip Larkin, Stevie Smith, Ted Hughes, Kingsley Amis, Brian Patten, Emily Dickinson are some names in ane ever-growing list. I like writing poetry but consider myself somewhat shit compared to the above list.
