You probably won't have heard of me....

About Me

Hi there... Well, this is me - is that you?? ;o) "In my soul, The music thrives, And with it's beat, I am kept alive... Forsake me not, Oh melody, For I shall surely wither, Without thee..." (Blonde Vibrations © ) I'm here because I'm a creative individual who, with age and experience, has gained wisdom. It has to be the best part of the ageing process !!! With it, I decided it was time to dump the long-term career and jump into this pool of uncertainty and follow my heart's desire to create... I am a writer - of all things; poetry, literature, music. There has always been a deeper side to me, that I felt was beyond my years and the best way for me to breath life into this part of me, was to write. I wrote my first serious poem when I was 9 years old and at 15 - when my father gave me his beautiful 6 string Acousic - I turned that art into music and I have never looked back. Music was my first love and you know what they say about your first love... I wrote my first song at 16, did my first recording at 16 and have recorded a number of times since. I've won awards for songwriting and composition and with a bit of luck and perserverance, I'll win a few more hahaha. I've been involved in global projects such as the Eurovision (don't tell anyone!), Tribute album work and have been recently asked to do a movie score, which I'm playing with at the moment. In '95 I met Mr. Completely Wrong and the more he stripped me of my spirit, the less I had inside me to write with and eventually, in 1994, I stopped writing altogether... When I saw sense and eradicated the problem (hehehe) and as my broken spirit began to heal (around 2002), I once again, turned to my old friend, my trusty guitar. Sadly, I discovered, that through lack of love and care, like my self, she had become ill (strained fretboard syndrome) and I could play with her no more. I realised the void and I was heart-broken as I was not emotionally or financially able to do anything about it. That's when I accidentally discovered music production software, and with Cakewalk, launched myself into another aspect of music that I hadn't realised existed at the time. I came accross 2 Evolution (now M-Audio) workstation boards at some sale or other and from then on I made music in a whole other way. Over the years, through lack of time, the shit life throws at you etc etc, I am still learning each time I sit in studio. But that's ok, because I love to learn and try to make a point of having learned et least one thing everday - be it about music or whatever else. Anyway, these are just some of the sounds that produce, but realistically I listen to most genres and love each in it's own way. I'm still getting to grips with this whole myspace thing, so check back for more soundz every now and then - my door is always open... Just to save you the time, I'm not here looking for a man, or even a date. Friends, yes - the more the merrier. Amongst these there will be a few people I would consider good friends who are closer to me - but you will be carefully chosen - make no mistake about that and you will know who you are... My criteria for Mr. Right is extremely high and some might say impossible, but then so be it. My fingers are still burnt and I'm not prepared to waste any more time with Mr. Wrongs - life is too short. I've put up a blog to with my 'criteria' check it out if you're interested, but don't hold your breath....I'm really not looking!
