I am currently a stay at home mom with 2 children. I worked in x-ray while my husband was in pharmacy school, and then I stayed at home with my first daughter. When she started school, I started a new career by teaching at a pre-school. I worked with three year olds and loved it! I actually enjoyed going to work! I have also sold jewelry in home shows, and sold paintings that I have done. My husband & I met in high school and have been together ever since!
I was born in Minneapolis, MN; but moved A LOT growing up. I lived in northern Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Utah, and Pennsylvania growing up. Once I was out of high school, Rob & I moved to St. Petersburg, FL. I went to college for x-ray. When I graduated, I went on to ultrasound school. During that year we got married. As soon as I completed that school year, Rob got accepted to Pharmacy school in Tallahassee, FL. We lived there for about 11 years before we got sick of Florida. We picked a few places off the map, researched them, and decided on Denver, CO. We have been here since summer 2002. I don't see us ever leaving here. It's perfect!
I am the total opposite that I was growing up. I used to be painfully shy!! My friends now don't believe it! I freely give my opinions, even when not wanted. I am working on that. I have realized that everyone doesn't need to know how I feel about everything at every moment! LOL
I hate to cook, unless we are having friends over; and even then, I usually make them bring a dish! I guess what I do cook I am good at, but I still don't enjoy it. Now, I LOVE the grill! I am the master of the grill in this family--not my husband. I grill awesome rib-eyes, hamburgers, and pork tenderloin. My daughter's favorite is my grilled shrimp and pineapple, but I am not a big fan of seafood.
Another thing: Why can't celebrities keep their mouths shut about their political views?!? I don't mind if they have an opinion, but not when they are bashing whatever president we have or our country. All it does is make me not want to watch or listen to anything they have done. Like the Dixie Chicks, Susan Sarandon, Alec Baldwin, etc. Don't they get that half the country doesn't agree with them??
