Ce’zar

Cezar was born in Washington, D.C as Eric Lowery. His family lived in New Carrolton, MD for a couple of years before they decided to move to Laurel, MD. From Laurel, MD they moved to Pioneer City which is located in Severn, MD. It is a small community that’s well known in the Anne Arundel County area as "the hood," but to Cezar it was home. He was back and forth between Pioneer City and Seat Pleasant, MD all of his life. Cezar grew up listening to Go-Go and Oldies but Goodies. Groups like Blue Magic, The Temptations and The Whispers were his biggest inspirations. Then came Chuck Brown, Rare Essence, and Backyard. Hip-Hop wasn’t really a big thing to him until the mid 90’s. Tupac, LL Cool J, Biggie Smalls and other various artists inspired him to start writing at the age of 12. In Cezar's teenage years (as most teenagers) he started to really explore life on the streets. His community was a huge drug market, so everything he wanted was pretty much right in his yard. From smoking weed to selling drugs were just minor things that he and his boys did as juveniles. Cezar is 1 of 7 children. His parents didn't make a lot of money, so he didn't have the latest Jordan's or the hottest gear. Cezar watched his older brothers living the so called good life by hustling, so he wanted part of it. Fortunately for Cezar he was arrested in 2000 for marijuana, which made him change is outlook on selling drugs. From that point on he started to focus on making music. As Cezar grew his desire for money did too, so he went back to the streets. As a result, he was stabbed in the chest and shot in the back. These two events brought his hustling to a complete stop. Now the main thing he's focused on is hustling his music. As now as an artist he has a lot to speak about. His delivery is not only real, but also powerful. His music makes you contemplate, but he also makes you recognize his words. He is an up and coming artist that’s really going to put Maryland on the Map.
