Summerbridge

On October 2, 2003, over 100 former Summerbridge students and staff came from all of the country to San Francisco for the 25th Birthday Celebration of Summerbridge. After three days of sharing and reminiscing, a group of attendees decided that the time was right to launch a Summerbridge Alumni Network and reunite this amazing community of young leaders.Drawing from our shared values of Students Teaching Students, the Summerbridge Alumni Network begins with the following two principles:1) The Summerbridge Alumni Network is of, by, and for Summerbridge alumni, including students, staff, and directors. As alumni, we set the agenda for and run the community ourselves, in cooperation with the Breakthrough Collaborative and individual sites, both in and out of the collaborative.2) The Summerbridge Alumni Network is dedicated to ongoing personal and professional development of Summerbridge alumni. We are a learning community committed to peer learning and peer teaching.
