Our program is called Proud To Wait! An Abstinence Project for Youth. Our mission is to offer abstinence education to high-risk youth ages 12-18 and to empower these youth to become leaders in our communities. We are not a religious or faith-based organization. We are an agency committed to remediating the life problems of marginalized youth and their families, and we are committed to making a difference in the lives of all our youth participants and their families. We offer a 12-lesson curriculum that teaches life skills, communication skills, decision-making tools, etc. In addition, we offer the facts about STDs and the myths and realities of teen pregnancy. Our goal is to reach 3,000 youth ages 12-18 across our three sites, located in Sacramento, Los Angeles, and Orange counties.
