Dj Lace

Lace got in touch with DNB in the late 90's, listening to party tapes that his mate Soulpride gave to him. After steppin to the dancefloor at his first raves mostly in and around Mannheim, his taste of music was strongly influenced by the catchy Drum and Bass Vibe. Impressed by the DJ skills of Marky or Zinc, Lace bought his first mixer along with one turntable. Also influenced by Reggae, Dancehall and Hip Hop Tunes he mixed and recorded his favourite tunes on crappy mixtapes under his former DJ name Robson. Lace focussed on mixing Drum & Bass tunes and joined his mates from the Gunshot Kru on their parties more and more often. Improving his mixing skills, he established in the south-west DnB scene and became a resident DJ on the former Gunshot-Kru and now Audio Bullet Drum and Bass nights at the club Gotec in Karlsruhe. His selection can vary from bouncy Jump-Up tunes and old school bangers to mellow Liquid Funk.To show his affection for the laid-back side of drum and bass, Lace sets up mixes of his favourite Liquid Funk tunes
