Welcome To My Profile... Enjoy The Guinnessness :)

About Me

I'm a very nice, very real and honest, smart, down-to-earth guy that is very fun loving and possesses a very twisted sense of humor. I love to laugh and not take life too seriously... it's too short to take too seriously... I'm a responsible person but I love to make people laugh ... especially when they probably shouldn't be laughing at all... I think humor is good medicine for anything life throws our way. I love my wife, Connie very much... she is my world... my family is extremely important to me... and so is my dog, Jeb (a yellow lab whose behavior strangely imitates his owner at times... lol)...and I'm also extremely loyal to my friends... they are my crew. My closest friends are like family to me... that's why I don't have time for fake people ... because I have my priorities straight... all you have to do is look at the people that you surround yourself with and that can tell you a lot of things that you need to know about yourself... if you put positivity into the world... you'll get it back in overwhelming amounts... I'm a big believer in that because I've seen it firsthand. I'm an optimistic person... because if I wasn't... the decay and the erosion of morality and the sick state of society would have worn me down a long time ago. I love music... especially punk rock... because it's the most uplifting, intelligent and soul stirring music I've ever encountered. I fell in love with the Misfits, The Ramones, Black Flag, Social Distortion, The Clash, a long time ago and they are timeless to me. Any time my world feels cluttered and I'm feeling confused or down and I need to open my mind and get a good kick in the rear at the same time... I listen to one these bands. I also love a lot of modern punk bands too... but too many to name. I'm also very into politics and history. I'm very interested in anything I can do to help my generation facilitate positive change. History is very interesting to me because the only way we can know where we're going is to understand where we've been. Well, I've given you a taste... if you wanna know much more then you should sit down and have a good intelligent conversation with me... or at least put on some Flogging Molly and drink a beer with me... I'll have a Guinness draft.... what'll you have?????? ;) Layout made by

My Interests

Outdoorsy stuff, I love hiking and biking and traveling. I love music festivals... especially in the summer. I love to read many different types of books but especially anything historical or anything biographical. I love getting to know different people and learning about backgrounds and cultures that are different than mine. I love to make people smile and laugh... humor is very important to me. And of course, I love the rock music... lol.

I'd like to meet:

Anybody that would like to be friends.

Music:

Dimebag aka - one of the greatest guitarists this planet will ever see), Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica (Old Metallica preferably), old Gun N' Roses, Anthrax, Killswitch Engage, Chevelle, Deftones, System Of A Down, Danzig, Slipknot, Flogging Molly, The Used, Black Flag, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, Corrosion Of Conformity, Dropkick Murphys, The Unseen, Anti-Flag, NOFX, Rage Against The Machine, Pennywise, Alice In Chains, Megadeth, Beastie Boys, Green Day, Hatebreed, Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, The Offspring, Foofighters, CKY, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Faith No More and/or Mr. Bungle (or basically anything Mike Patton does creatively) Sevendust, Mudvayne, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Taking Back Sunday, Skindred, Dope, Run DMC, Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, EPMD, Eric B. and Rakim, Kanye West, Jay-Z, NAS - (I really like a lot of old rap music and intelligent rap music), Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, Beck, The Strokes, The White Stripes (Jack White is a freakin genius) , The Vandals, Guttermouth, Dwight Yoakam, Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys, Flatt and Scruggs- when it comes to country and bluegrass music - those are my heros, anything Ozzy related - Black Sabbath, Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society, Weezer, Unwritten Law, old U2, Pearl Jam, Nirvana... and last but definitely not least... Old Blue Eyes.... The Chairman of the Board... Frank Sinatra... I'm a huge Sinatra fan... I have three boxsets and tons of Sinatra stuff all around my house.

Movies:

Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2, From Dusk Till Dawn (seeing a trend here?? lol) Goodfellas, Donnie Brasco, Casino, The Godfather (all parts) Benji The Hunted (Just seeing if you were paying attention.. lol) any of the Marvel Superhero movies... the X-Men were really good, The Rocky movies... lol, all of the Silent Bob and Jay movies are great, all Mel Brooks movies are great, any of the Monty Python movies, I love classic movies like Gone With The Wind and Casablanca, anything with Sinatra in it... like Oceans 11, Pal Joey, From Here To Eternity, or Guys and Dolls, I love old Marx brothers and Abbot and Costello movies, I love just about any movie that portrays history accurately... unfortunately that's not many, The Doors, most Adam Sandler movies especially the Wedding Singer and Happy Gilmour, I can handle a good romantic comedy or even a tearjerker every now and then as long as it has a plot and is not just some mindless romantic or sappy drivel that is soley intended to get you to have some type of an emotional response...lol. I like creative and intelligent movies. (and people too for that matter... lol)

Television:

I watch the news, sports, and try to catch a music video every now and then. Viva La Bam is good... Bam Margera should control all network television plus the FCC. Other than that... TV pretty much blows... it was much better when I was a kid and reality shows were not around... I liked sitcoms better... I liked escaping real life for a while and visiting the Jeffersons or Jack Tripper for half an hour... The Muppet Show kicked ass when I was a kid...lol...that reminds me... I do like TV Land... with all the old TV shows...lol.

Books:

I love biographies and historical books. I also like true crime, mysteries and thrillers. I like a lot of classic literature too. I love Animal Farm (Orwell was a genius), the Canterbury Tales, The complete works of Edgar Allen Poe, Ivanhoe, and Dracula.

Heroes:

Basically any person who is a kind, selfless and humble person and works hard and tries to be a responsible and contributing member of society is a hero to me.... our military personnel, teachers, law enforcement, fire fighters, moms and dads who raise their kids with love and good values and take care of their homes and neighborhoods the way they should. --- these are people to be respected and thought highly of --- now that I'm off my soapbox... I'll tell you who I think highly of - my wife, my dad and mom, my sister and her family, anyone that I can call a true friend... these people are much more important to me than any celebrity, politician, activist or sports star. It is vitally important that young people are properly raised and educated and feel safe and secure in our communities if we expect them to someday change the world in a positive way. --- That's why we must have more of these types of heros and less of the celebrities, politicians, activists, and sports stars.

Review Of Avenged Sevenfold / CKY Show

I saw A7X at 9:30 Club in DC with CKY last weekend and they were amazing. It was such a good show. First of all I have to give it up for CKY ... they were so good. Honestly, I wasn't sure about how we...
