About Me
* Remix of Bracken's 'We Cut The Tapes And Scatter' - available to hear NOW!
Around March this year I finished a remix for the Bracken triumvirate, the original being a track that you can find on the EP, 'Heathens' . I call it the 'Ultramagnetic Steinbeck' remix. For the record, Bracken are just straight up ill in my opinion. I am honoured to have been a part of this remix project, and I was lucky enough to play at a show with them and S J Esau around April too which was sick. Enjoy the remix - I used the vocals and some of the instruments, and I added a lot of my own bits and pieces to it too. It was mad fun. I hope you like it. Holler at ya boy, let me know what you think. Check out Bracken's page on the regular too, and be sure to catch their live show - they are very good people. Cheers!

This is the mix that myself and the Commonwealth brother who rests in Montreal, Carlo Cossette, recently completed after a long and incredibly eventful year or so, and is now finally available for purchase from your favourite independent record store Banquet Records. We are very proud. We think you will like it. The mix os over 70 minutes and features a whole mess of records and while it is based on hip hop, it doesn't end there by any means whatsoever.
Similar in format to the mix that myself and the homie 'ZILLA' made around 2003, this was a good old postal service based affair which started over there in Montreal, in Carlo's labs, and was then delivered over here to the humble dwellings I call the Gluestick Acoustics labs, where the mix was continued. The mix evolved in such a fashion until we reached what we felt was the natural conclusion.
It features a 7" produced by Carlo and mixed by Sixtoo which is just unbelievable fire - proper darkside Bully-branded heat savagery... One of these tracks is on one of Carlo's sections of the mix too. Carlo has 4 soundbites on his Myspace page and some details on the background story of this mix too so peep him out when you get time. He's a great guy and you'll get on fine.
Thanks for your time folks. Much love. Enjoy the mix, and the record. You will.
* SRL Suburb Record Label sampler :
I have a couple of tracks on the sampler from AI Records offshoot/brother/sister label SRL, which is out now. We have it for sale right now in Banquet Records - click the images to go direct to our store website. My tracks are more based around 80's/90's hip hop and psych rock, but the sampler has some fresh electronics and many other directions to enjoy. The official label website is up and running right now too so take a listen to some track snippets while you're there! Enjoy... There are MP3 snippets on the Banquet site as well. Peace!

* SAGE FRANCIS : 'Gunz Yo' (Buddy Peace 'Government Arms Training' Remix)
I made this a little while back as part of the Non Prophets forum remix feature. There are loads more to come from various forum members and folks on there, and some have been posted already - some are really dope. The original was produced by Dangermouse, and is available on the Sage Francis album 'A Healthy Distrust' . Here's mine to check out :

The others are up HERE too... Check 'um out!
* BULLY RECORDS 'Bully Projects' 7" :
A megamix of the works from the Canadian Heat Department, who hang out in the shadows of the playground... This should be around reasonably soon - more details to follow! Word to the Bullies and my love to Canada. It was nothing less than an absolute pleasure.
Sleeve notes - direct German-English translation :
"...hhv.de presents Bully Records Megamix... In the fall of 2003 we started hearing mixes from a guy in the UK named Buddy Peace. With an obvious taste for the kind of music we like, his mix tapes quickly became a favorite around the record shop where Marco Bully was working behind the counter driven to the edge of insanity selling multiples of Paul Anka. Some folks like the NY style mixes of Tony Touch. Bully prefers pasty bearded British doods that look like they should be extras on The Eastenders. Cut to 2006. Buddy Peace chops up the Bully Archive as an exclusive for www.hiphopvinyl.de. This is also the first release under our Bully Projects moniker. We hope you enjoy..."

* Ninja Obsession Site :
* Check out this site that my pal Oystein in Norway hooked up - it's insane, and I must let you know that he did this without being prompted and all in his own time without being paid - this guy is a legend... Peep :
Main Site : Ninja Obsession
Buddy Peace section
I sent him some CDs and whatnot a while back and this part of the site basically contains scans and info on what there is - there will probably be more soon, as this is just what I provided him with sometime in 2005, but I just wanted to holler about it not necessarily as an ego trip or anything, but more to show some love to someone who deserves it. Thanks Oystein! You're a good guy.
