"Instead of pitying us and being horrified by the atrocities of imperialism, better fight against it

About Me

Living in the most rural parts of India for the past few years working with a Dalit Womyn's peoples movement reconciling the space between revolution and resistance, in the post production phase of a documentary and generally just doing my music, art, educating, tree climbing branch shaking fruit eating, slogan shouting, demonstrating, struggling, organizing, reconstructing thang. From NY but spent a bunch of years in the dirty dirty and still got a whole lot of Nawlins in me...Jagrutha is an effort to raise awareness about the struggles of Dalit Womyn leading a movement for social transformation and liberation. This film is a work in progress. Your support will make the completion of this project possible. If you have any comments on the trailer, please feel free to send me a message. I am currently in India shooting more footage, but will try my best to respond. Thank you in advance for taking the time to view this film, a collaboration between myself and Media Sutra.
