Sadly, we lost guitarist Kelly Johnson on July 15, 2007 to spinal cancer. I saw them in '82 at Hollywood's Whiskey a Go-Go and later open up the Scorpions/Iron Maiden show. They had a new bass player and unfortunately didn't perform "Yeah Right" at both shows.
At the Whiskey, we helped the road crew carry in Aerosmith's old equipment. We thought it was gonna be a surprise Dr. J and the Interns (Aerosmith pseudonym) "special guest" gig. Still, it was a great set and Kelly was a gifted guitarist/vocals/songwriter.
RIP
Kelly Johnson

Def Leppard in '83 performing "Lady Strange" on the first leg of their "Pyromania" tour, opening up for Billy Squier. Nice small, intimate setting provides a great gig.
The Scorpions doing "Blackout" on their 1988 tour. Same stage they used for '84 tour. 80's heavy metal at it's best.
Guns N' Roses, 1987 at CBGB's (RIP) in New York. Unplugged version of "Used To Love Her" ...pure awesomeness.
And the "Gunners" at Fender's Ballroom (RIP...quite a story of 2 fires and a bank fraud here) in 1986 at the "Glam Ball" with many glam bands. "Don't Cry"Gotta bring back the "Appetite" bunch for a real GN'R. My late best friend was at this gig.
Sleeping Under the Stars by Karen Dior (RIP), Branded T by Roselyne Blumenstein. Sorry, no videos here.

And here's the 90's remake version...
Which do you like better? Well of course ya like the 60's one better. They fucked it up in the 90's. This and Speed Racer. Will they ever learn? Ok, jaqi's solution: make a special-effects blockbuster movie outta both of 'em. Mr. Spielberg, ya listening?
