Keeping the Blues alive!

About Me

I started playing the bass when i was 9. I played in my first band when i was 10, which was a cover band, we generally just played Jimi Hendrix covers. I played in various bands during high school, usually playing slap bass. When i was 16 i saw Collard Greens and Gravy play on the blues train, and instantly became fascinated with blues music. I quickly picked up the guitar and started playing. I started a blues band in year 12 at school where i played slide guitar, electric guitar and harmonica, and we were covering mostly old blues tunes by people like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and Robert Johnson. After a while i asked Ian Collard (Collard Greens and Gravy) to teach me how to play harmonica as i was obsessed with the thing and couldn't play it to save my life. Luckily he accepted and taught me how to play blues harmonica, and taught me a great deal about blues music in general. After high school i went into a kind of musical hybernation, and have been recording and playing constantly ever since. Ive been playing with a few different groups and have been playing a lot at the MBAS blues jamms. In a very short while my cd will be recorded however, and gigs will follow. Thanks for checking out my music, and keep the blues alive.
