About Me
Violinist and co-founder of the “Aviv†String Quartet, is a winner of the 3rd Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition (1999, Grand Prix and 4 Special Prizes), Bordeaux String Quartet Competition (2003), Charles Hennen Chamber Music Competition (1999, Netherlands) and other top prizes: “Schubert and Modernity†Competition (2003, Graz, Austria, 2nd Prize and Schubert Prize) and Prague Spring Quartets Competition (1998).
Performed as a quartet member at internationally renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall and Lincoln Center (New York), Kennedy Center and the Library of Congress (Washington), Wigmore Hall and Royal Festival Hall (London), Tonhalle (Zurich), Auditorium du Louvre, Theatre du Chatellet, and Theatre de la Ville (Paris), De Doelen Rotterdam, Sydney Opera House, Capetown City Hall, Durban Concert Hall, Cologne Philharmonie, Beethoven House (Bonn, Germany) Wiener Konzerthouse and other venues in Israel, Germany, Austria, England, France, Ireland, Holland, China, Canada, Portugal, South Africa, Brazil etc.
Performed Brahms’ “Double Concertoâ€, Mozart’s “Simfonia Concertante†Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons†and Schnittke’s Concerto Grosso with the several Israeli and foreign orchestras.
Member of several chamber projects, performing music from the Baroque to the Contemporary.
Assistant of Violin Professor Mr. Benzion Shamir in the Rotterdam Royal Academy.
She is playing seventeenth century violin by Ruggeri, granted by the American-Israeli Cultural Foundation.Born in Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg), Russia. She began her violin studies at 6 years of age and completed the "High School for Talented Musicians" with Vladimir Milshtein. Evgenia immigrated to Israel in 1990. There, she studied with Arthur Zisserman, Yair Kless and Irena Svetlova at the Tel Aviv Academy of Music and with Benzion Shamir at the Rotterdam Royal Academy, where she got her Master Degree. At the Academy, she was the recipient of prizes in violin and chamber music competitions and took part in the Master Classes of Isaac Stern, Henry Mayer, Zakhar Bron etc.
