Jump Squad is currently signed to Red Zone Records, an independent Hip-Hop label based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Each member of the Jump Squad is a complete performer in his own right, and will be releasing several studio albums and mix CDs in 2007, both solo and as part of the group. Jump Squad comes ready to work, with marketing skills, street team support, and Sales Reps that help push their music to the “Mom & Pop†retail markets throughout New England.
Iceman (the group's leader) is a rapper, producer and businessman. His music has a rough, street-wise edge, while still maintaining the necessary ingredients to make it palatable to a wider “pop†audience. A self starter, Iceman founded Red Zone Records with the intent of distributing his group's music to the world (starting with the New England customer base) without having to wait for a major label to sign the group. Being Red Zone Records’ flagship artist, Ice has been featured in articles by the Hippo Press and One Ten Magazine, and will be releasing his first solo studio project, “Reign of Fireâ€, in Spring 2007. Iceman will also be featured in an article in an upcoming issue of Grind Magazine. He is a jack of all trades, doing everything from producing & rapping to graphic design and marketing plans. Iceman is President of Red Zone Records, and currently resides in Concord New Hampshire.
Marc 4 is an accomplished emcee from Cambridge, Massachusetts. His music has more of an “underground Hip-Hop†feel, which gives him an appeal to a different market, at least initially. However, he specializes in versatility, which makes him a valuable asset to the group. He’s able to switch styles easily from deep, thought provoking political joints to up-tempo club tracks with ease. In addition to his appearances on upcoming Jump Squad projects, Marc 4 is also currently completing work on his first solo studio project, “Brainstormâ€, which will be released in summer 2007. Marc 4 is Vice President of Red Zone Records.
The Jump Squad’s other members include Junior (Manolo) from Brooklyn, NY (who now resides in Concord, New Hampshire), Bishop from Cambridge, Massachusetts, Real Talk 911 from Boston, Massachusetts, Lyrix from Worcester, Massachusetts (who now resides on the west coast), K-Nine and DJ Bassy, from Law-Town, Massachusetts, and Blu Ca$h and Tate, from Brooklyn NY. The entire group remains committed to conquering the New England music market, and individual ego is not an issue when it comes to accomplishing that goal. Much more than just a Hip-Hop group with common goals, Jump Squad is a closely knit family unit.
The Jump Squad has just completed work on it’s current mix CD, “Streets on Lockâ€, which also features the Movement Boyz, another popular New England rap group. In late 2007, Jump Squad will also be releasing “Kill Zoneâ€, the follow up to their “Reloaded†CD. Both CDs can be purchased online at Red Zone Records' Official Website!
Red Zone Records also includes: General Manager Pierre "P Nicce" Lipert, VP of Marketing & New Media Heather "Wite Ice" Magoon, , and the rest of the RZR Street Team!
