About Me

I am laid back, easy-going and warm-hearted; I am also a very great and insignificant asshole...

Music:

Winstons

Movies:

Any movie that tells a human story: "Letters From Iwo Jima, A River Runs Through It, Cinderella Man, Flags Of Our Fathers, Slingblade, Tideland, We Were Soldiers, Braveheart, Lord Of The Rings...." I also like whacked-out movies like: :Blue Velvet, Clockwork Orange, Irreversible, Boondock Saints and Apocalypse Now. My most favorite movie of all time is Kubrick..s 2001.

Television:

Hate most of it and consider it listless noise. I do watch CNN to keep abreast of current and world events, but if they..re talking about Anna Nicole Smith, I usually change to the History Channel. Some moments, like this next photo, are better than T.V.:

Books:

Currently, I am not doing a great deal of reading, but here are a few of my favorites:

Heroes:

All the fallen and wounded U.S. soldiers who have served and are serving this great country.Especially, my Uncle, Captain Frank H. Gorman, who died December 9, 2006 at the age of eighty-three. During World War Two, he served in the European Theater of Operation with the Sixth Armored Division. He led the first wave of American soldiers across the "Our River" to secure the initial bridgehead necessary for General Patton..s Super Sixth Tank Division to gain entry into Germany. Historically, it was a major turning point in the, "Battle of the Bulge." His 9th Armored Battalion was the first wave of American soldiers to ever set foot on German soil. By order of the President of the United States, he was awarded the Silver Star. He also received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman..s Badge, Battalion Letter of Commendation for Superior Leadership in Combat and Four Campaign Medals with Two Battle Stars. He entered the service from Tennessee. He loved Christmas, cowboys, guitars, the Grand Canyon and Disneyland. Unless asked, he spoke little of the War or his medals. He lost his leg to a German mortar but never seemed bitter or depressed about it. He always said, "You just keep on a goin." Other heros include my wife,SPEC Jennifer Gorman, U.S. Army and of course my Dad.
