Efrain Velazquez III a.k.a. Pyro Da Arsonist was born on July 13th, 1978 in New York City, New York. He was raised in the Chelsea-Elliott Houses where he was introduced to Hip Hop by his older cousins, "I was raised by my grandmother who was a school teacher and a christian so she was very strict when it came to the kind of music I heard, but when I used to hang out with my cousins they would listen to all the old school rappers (Big Daddy Kane, Eric B. & Rakim, EPMD, De La Soul, etc.) and that is when I fell in love with Hip Hop". Pyro started rhyming in 1991 at the age of 13. He would write his rhymes and perform them for the local drug dealers. Little by little he improved his skills and in 1996 along with his cousin and his friend from High School he formed the group "Midnite Mobstas". The group never really got off the ground so he decided to try his hand as a solo artist. "I'm a vet in this game and I've been writing rhymes for years so I'm sure I have enough material for a couple solo albums" For 16 years Pyro has been perfecting his style to become the fire spitting MC he is today, which is how he got the name Pyro Da Arsonist.
