OK, I'm obsessed to some degree with my car. But it's that cool! Promise! A 1973 Cadillac hearse by Superior, she's literally a dream boat. Modern ocean-going vessels have less steel. Of course, she's got about the same amount of rust as the Titanic too, but it's a work in progress.I also knit, crochet, sew, weave, draw and read voraciously. I'm trying to teach myself how to spin now. Basically I can usually be found groping the cashmere or ogling the handpainted silk in my local yarn store or frittering away my meager paycheck at the bookstore.Have you ever thought about how much yarn will fit in the (9' x 4') back of a hearse?I also dress up and hit the local Ren Faire every season. Hope to eventually go to more outside the Dallas area.I also love music, movies and curling up on the bed in the back of my car and listening to the rain. After. ;)
I'm more interested in companions than clones. I don't think you can ever have enough friends, although my energy in dealing with them does appear to be finite. Not sure if I'm cut out for a one and only anymore, but steady would be nice.
There are very few entire genres I don't like. Most of the time I prefer to weed my music the same way I do people. Individually. Sometimes song by song. Some of my favorites are... Brian Setzer Orchestra, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Satan's Pilgrims, Reverend Horton Heat, Alex Can't Sleep, Ventures, Metallica, NIN, Bond, etc
Go ahead and laugh. My favorite movie is Star Wars - A New Hope. I agree that Empire is better, but New Hope is still my favorite. I love campy horror like Army of Darkness. I also like movies where lots of things explode and movies where the costume budget must have been astronomical. One of my favorites that combines several of those traits is Brotherhood of the Wolf. I'll actually watch almost anything.
Rarely, if ever, watch it. Reruns of Red Dwarf just don't come on often enough for me.
Favorite author: Laurell K. Hamilton, for the Anita Blake series in particular. I like the Merry Gentry series too though. Growing up I was addicted to Marion Zimmer Bradley. Latest series I've gotten hooked on: Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden series.
My mom. I admire many people for various attributes, but my mom is the only one I ever wanted to grow up to be. She kicks serious ass.
