I was born on 01/07/1970, in Istanbul. But because my father’s family is from Antalya, I feel like I am from Antalya. After graduating from Maçka Süheyla Artem Preliminary School, I went to Çamlica Girl High School. After high school graduation, I decided to be an announcer and took TRT Istanbul TV’s examinations and started my career as an announcer. Because I have an idealist character, it took awhile for me to discover my musician side. It all happened in 1993 when I met Melih Kibar.
How? Since I was a sweet and very outgoing person, just by coincidence I met Melih Kibar and asked him to listen to my voice. He invited me to his studio. Before I could realize what was going on, I found myself doing vocal performances for advertisements. I started to climb the stairs of my music career and started to work as backvocals for important artists like Kenan Dogulu, Emel Müftüoglu, Ege, Ferda Anil Yarkin, Zuhal Olcay and Yasar.
In the year 1995, when I felt I was ready to sing on my own, I entered POP - SHOW 95 singing contest and took first place with a song I wrote myself.
In 1997, after working for long and enjoyable weeks, my first album ‘’Hiç Kimse Degilim’’ took place on the market. All that I have experienced in my life, good and bad, helped me to discover my composer side. That was very exciting. I was a songwriter and a composer. That is very important for an artist.
I think, in spite of not knowing each other personally, we are communicating through my songs. That’s what it is to be a ‘’fan’’.
On December 25th, 1999, my second album ‘’Anlattim’’ that included my compositions, was out. I am very happy to be able to fulfill my dreams of success with this album. My footsteps in music career turned into a marathon. I promise that I will continue sharing my excitement and courage through my songs that consist of my stories.
My third album ‘’Seffaf’’ was in the market on 2002, January and made a great success. Video clips were shots for ‘’Yakamoz’’ and ‘’Unutursun’’. Don’t forget! We artists are proud to share our music that is global. I thank God who gave this special and precious gift to me.
My fourth album '''Asklarin En Güzeli'', took its place on the counters in September 2003 as my gift tomy music career. I wanted to prove that by rearranging and reintroducing the sounds of 70s to today’s sound and generation, my childhood songs will never and should never be lost.
And my 5th album ‘’Ask Denizi’’ … I, who is in love with love itself, talked about the moods of love in this album. Everyone will find a piece of him/herself. After 9 months of production, I’ve written both the lyrics and the music of all the 13 songs out of 14 songs. I also wanted to show in this album how an album record is made. From its recordings to the dialogues between the arrangers and the photo shootings.
I am so happy and excited...
To sing my own songs and to make you sing my songs, was my childhood dream and that dream is real now. Because you are worth it. To live and share life with love...
