About Me

BUY "REMOTE MIND CONTROL" FROM ITUNES NOW!!!!
High-energy vibe, pounding guitars, quick tempo changes, varied, unique. A groundbreaking sound that has been compared to the likes of Fugazi, The Pixies, Nirvana, The Replacements, and The Misfits; Thinking Aloud captivates and demands attention.
Each member of the group has had a passion for music since childhood, and after meeting through their common bond of skateboarding, Thinking Aloud was born. Together since the summer of 2001, they really enjoy working collectively to nod heads, raise eyebrows, and pump energy into music fans on a regular basis…and it shows.
When it comes to putting in work, Thinking Aloud is all for it. This band has gotten to where they are by seizing every opportunity for what it can offer, doing numerous radio and magazine interviews, all their own artwork and marketing, bleeding right into skateboarding culture, and playing some damn good shows. They have been featured in numerous skateboarding videos, television programs, magazines, and radio broadcasts. The band is currently in the process of production for a new album. Talks of European and U.S. tours are in the works, and Thinking Aloud has plenty of new material and reviews since their March 2005 release of the first full-length album “Remote Mind Control.” Thinking Aloud is excited, and with each opportunity grows a stronger band and stronger anticipation of what’s to come.
THINKING ALOUD REMOTE MIND CONTROL LOW-RENT RECORDS These guys remind me of a more modern, upbeat, and rocking version of The B-52's. Don't ask me how I came up with that. It's probably the singing/talking style of the lead singer in this outfit. This music makes you want to bounce up and down in the seat of your car as you are sitting in traffic on the freeway; and when you are up and about, it makes you want to jump around. That's not a bad thing, now, is it? I don't think so! Add this album to that giant stack of CDs you have sitting in the corner of your room. You'll thank me for it eventually. -Mandadexpunk

THINKING ALOUD - Remote Mind Control:
Throw in a bit of Rock, A bit of Indie and some Grunge for good measure and you get ´Thinking Aloud´. What is so good about this album is that it´s been recorded live and even with all the studio trickery in the world most bands couldn't produce an album of this quality - no way! There´s 11 tracks on this album and no fillers. It kicks off with ´89´ and storms in to excellent tracks such as ´Mood Swings´, ´In The Moment´ and ´So What´. Top quality musicianship on this album. If you like something with a bit of originality then check this band out. (Low-Rent) 9/10

THINKING ALOUD - Remote Mind Control Low Rent Records
"Why's everybody so mean?" That's a good question that I wish I had an answer for, and the rest of this CD by THINKING ALOUD will keep you wondering about such things. The singer on here is top notch, and the lyrics are first-rate. These guys sound a lot like WOOL. They're hard and heavy, yet melodic...like a cross between NIRVANA and THE CURE. Unfortunately I can hear some of that MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE crap near the edges of their sound but it's not enough to deter me away from this band. This CD is really fucking excellent. I became a fan after catching their set @ The Aristocrat a while back and this CD has been in constant rotation ever since. Stop (It's just your God you're telling me to STOP), 89, In The Moment...hell, every song on here is most excellent. The guitar work kicks ass and the drummer adds loads of texture and propels the band at a break neck pace. Just an awesome album that you should all check out. You will not be disappointed.

“REMOTE MIND CONTROL” CD
Wow. Kinda experimental glam-punk rock, but honestly I can’t compare them to anyone. This is something unlike anything I’ve heard before. That doesn’t mean they’re the first band to do it – it means I’ve never heard anything like this before. I like this a lot. It’ll get your ass dancing. And my ass never dances, so what does that tell you? (MWB) (www.low-rentrecords.com)

Keavin Wiggins' Top 5 of 05.
5. Thinking Aloud – Remote Mind Control: Yet another killer Orange County / Long Beach band. Jam punk/ alternative at its finest. I admit that it was their live show that won me over but the album gives us a look at some of their greatness. It's the raw yet controlled energy that can't be denied. I expect big things from these guys.

REMOTE MIND CONTROL
Sounding like an amalgamation of The Pixies and The Sex Pistols with a smattering of Jawbreaker, Thinking Aloud takes a decent but accessible punk and makes it harmonally pleasing, offering good vibes with energy and very memorable hooks. Clearly here we have a good contender for my top ten of the year as this band rocks out with purpose and well accented changes across the entire album. I eagerly anticipate listening to more from Thinking Aloud, and you should find them now so you can share in the joy. -bishop
