We are here to start a true independent music network in Brooklyn. Brooklyn Local 13 is a place for bands, musicians, promoters, producers, venues, and studios in Brooklyn to pull together for a better music scene and working environment for everyone. This is not genre-specific or limited to musicians. It's for anyone who can help out; a place to help find the resources needed so we can pull together for the common good of each other. For example, which clubs treat their acts the best or have the best sound. Which studios have the best sounds and rates. Which promoters actually come through and take care of the acts they book, and everything else. We are working on a website that will have forums and message boards, as well as places to promote shows, display press kits and samples of your work. The idea is to keep it free so it may take a while but we are working on it. The only requirement is that you are based in Brooklyn.
