I've been living here in Alaska for about nine years now. I moved up here because I am an enthusiast of all having to do with the outdoors and adventure. So far, haven't had as much of an opportunity, but that is something I'm going to do something about...I'm beginning to make my mark on the world as a writer, as I recently published my first novel, The Temblor of Diablo, which is available through LuLu in paperback and hardcover, and Amazon.com in the electronic book format for their Kindle system. It will be reaching more locations shortly. I'm pretty excited about it, and I am also working on other projects which will be coming out soon as wellOriginally, I am from Northern California, but I've lived on the east coast, the deep south, and before I moved up here, a small town about halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee in the Midwest.I've done a little bit of everything. I've trained horses, built barns, drove trucks, managed restaurants, drove limousines, and even spent several wonderful years in the Navy. I even had a stint as a journalist for a small town newspaper in Wisconsin. As anyone around here in Fairbanks and North Pole would tell you, I had a brief flirtation with Politics as well! Right now, I am getting a little bit active with the local Republican National Committee. Currently, I am one of the management staff at the local Cineplex. My true love of life is Geology, which you will notice if you read any of my writing. I plan on posting some of it here on my blog. If you're interested in any of my other work, it is available on www.authorsden.com/jamescotton_99 and on www.lulu.com/mysteriesbyjc

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

just about anyone I can have fun with and engage in intelligent conversation and activities with. Right now, I would just DIE to find anyone interested in geology and rock collecting

"Speeding, A Journey Through Life", an old poem I dug up..
