The Overtime Theater is dedicated to new plays and new adaptations of old works. The Overtime Theater will also be a local headquarters for the Altered Art Movement, which basically means making art out of found objects, fabric, and paper ephemera. Realistically, its output and variety are impossible to describe in the time allotted here. Clothing, paper art, fabric art, and much more will be sold in our lobby, on our web site, and be presented on our stage. The person in charge of our Altered Art Production is Rebecca Coffey.

I'd like to meet:

We are seeking to try something new but accessible and enjoyable for the average citizen of San Antonio. We don't care what the theater fashion is in New York or L.A. Beyond that, we hope any further definition of our theater will come from our actions.And here's the final deal. With occasional exceptions, the Overtime Theater will perform shows only about an hour long, and we will charge almost the same price as a movie - homegrown theater that's a bargain.How 'bout it?

We prefer music that contains it's opposite, like punk versions of country songs, etc. We also want to know what you like--tell us!

Movies:

Anything with big fleets of spaceships fighting each other.

Books:

We like the ones with lots of words. And pictures. Words and pictures we like.
