I'm a freelance copy editor; I also write fiction. Here's a story of mine that was published last year.

You Are An INFP
The Idealist

You are creative with a great imagination, living in your own inner world.
Open minded and accepting, you strive for harmony in your important relationships.
It takes a long time for people to get to know you. You are hesitant to let people get close.
But once you care for someone, you do everything you can to help them grow and develop.

You would make an excellent writer, psychologist, or artist. What's Your Personality Type?

My Interests

Whispered demands, pride before a fall, secret hatreds, butterflies in stomach, what you will never confess to me, vanity and desire, wit, patience, breathiness, breathlessness, comfort, arrogance, passion and compassion, sleep, kindness, the lives of saints, the deaths of gods, confidences and betrayals, afrofuturism, intensity, dancing on feet that hurt, empathy, pettiness, tension, dedication, intimacy, sacrifice, transgression, camaraderie, directness, ghosts, the skin over collarbones, your best memory, my worst nightmare, double entendres, talkers, gracefulness and glamour, friendship, diabolical perfumes, spark, fizzle, not missing one moment of it all.

I'd like to meet:

I'm here to connect (or reconnect) with people I already know, have met, corresponded with, or used to know, both personally and professionally. Unless you're a supercool friend of a friend or suchlike, I'm not keen on befriending strangers.

Music:

the FUNK, dancefloor jazz, soul, blues, funktronica, roots reggae, ska, zydeco, the downtemp., calypso, the Latin (rumba, flamenco, son, salsa, merengue, etc.), all that new wave and punk from my bitter adolescence, the international lounge/club/70s and 80s hip-hop—anything soulful, can you dig? We're all sensitive people, with so much to give. Understand me, sugar.

Movies:

Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!, All About My Mother, 9 1/2 Weeks, Dangerous Liaisons, Drugstore Cowboy, All About Eve, Secretary, Lost in Translation, The Third Man, La Dolce Vita, 8 1/2, Jason and the Argonauts, Breakfast at Tiffany's (except for horrible, horrible Mickey Rooney), Ma Vie en Rose, The Birds, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, The Apartment, The Lost Weekend, The Conversation, Panic in Needle Park, The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Strangers on a Train, M, La Strada, Y Tu Mamá Tambien, The Motorcycle Diaries

Television:

Really, what is there to watch on the $18 cable package? ONCE UPON A TIME: Twin Peaks, Buffy, Firefly, Farscape, The L Word, Freaks and Geeks

Books:

Little Big, The Outsiders, The Object of My Affection, Peter Pan, The Princess Bride, Anna Karenina, Mockingbird, Gateway, The Handmaid's Tale, AUTHORS: John Crowley, Joyce Carol Oates, Dan Chaon, Jonathan Lethem, Michael Chabon, Ron Carlson, Jhumpa Lahiri, T. C. Boyle
