About Me

I'm a diehard singer songwriter currently living in Putney, Vermont. I divide my time between playing in bands, playing acoustic solo shows, writing songs and producing recordings in my studio. I also have a radio show on WTSA 96.7 FM called "Microphone On" on which I interview other local songwriters and musicians. Somehow I also find the time to have a beer now and then. My writing and performing has taken me across the country, earned me an award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, and a publishing deal with DreamWorks. My music has appeared in films and on TV shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Spin City, Beautiful People, 8th and Ocean, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Boomtown, That's Life, and more. Personality wise I'm really laid back. I value simple qualities like kindness, honesty, and perspective, and of course a sense of humor and irony. I also respect anyone who has achieved a level of expertise in any field. Anyone who has the guts to dedicate themself to something or someone and put themselves on the line for what they believe in wins my respect. I have a philosophy about plant's that I'd like to share. What I like about plants is that they naturally do what is good for them. They reach up for sunlight and down for water and other nutrients. I think people, at their best, are like plants, self constructive as opposed to self destructive. I hope we can all do what's best for ourselves and our fellow human beings. By the way if you like my music you might enjoy this CD.The title track on this CD ("Is This Love") was recently used on MTV (8th & Ocean) , and on the ABC family channel (Beautiful People). "Is This Love" was also used to promote a series on lifetime TV called Army Wives. The CD also contains the song "Broken Heart" (which earned me an award from ASCAP and helped me get a publishing deal with DreamWorks) and "On My Way" (which I recorded with members of the electronic pop/trip hop group The Supreme Beings of Leisure). The song "Float Away" was written with producer/keyboard player Jon Carin, who has been a part of Pink Floyd's touring band and producer Rick Chertoff (Cyndi Lauper, Joan Osbourne, Sophie B. Hawkins). The record is very eclectic with great songs across the board, and it was a true labor of love. It was also an awesome learning experience, being the first album I've ever produced. The album can be purchased at CD baby by clicking on this link: I have a couple other projects to talk about as well. One is called "All We Got". It's dark and trippy and reminiscent of David Bowie and Pink Floyd. I have an "All We Got" album page on myspace. You will see it on my top friends list. The "All We Got" CD can also be purchased at CD Baby by clicking on this link: My newest CD, "A Beautiful Trip", is now available at CD baby. It's playful and positive. This CD makes people smile. Just put it in your CD player, let it play several times, and call me in the morning. To check it out, hear clips from all the songs, and purchase it at CD Baby, click on this link. I'm currently recording a cd with the band Ordinary Men, also on my top friends list. By the way, I'm always up for tossing around creative ideas. If you have something to suggest, a comment, or a cool project in the works I'd love to hear about it. Let's talk. If you're local and you've got a record you'd like to share with me, maybe we can talk about it on my radio show "Microphone On" on WTSA. In any case, Thanks for visiting my myspace page...
