On myspace hiatus, will be back when I'm done relocating!

About Me

..I'm very dual in nature. I'm an introvert AND a party girl. I'm childish and goofy, but also introspective and serious. I'm snarky AND empathetic. I'm a strong person, yet extremely sensitive in many ways. You figure it out:)

My Interests

The wasting of time, movies, tv, books, the internet, spending time with good friends, shopping, going out, playing various video games that cater to my shortish attention span, the misuse of ellipses, collecting ridiculous quantities of "girly shit" (nail polish, shoes, jewelry, clothing, makeup, you name it and it's my vice), sudoku puzzles, drawing/doodling, drinking water with lots of ice, magazine reading, procrastinating, beading, painting, spirits/booze of most varieties, cheap ass sangria, staying up all night, sleeping half of the day, imitations/mimicry, cursing like a sailor, making up words, sephora.com, acting a drunken fool, intelligent humor of all sorts, massages, kitties, pugs, shameless gossiping, Italian food, the prospect of travel, Cadburry Roasted Almond bars, Human Services, being a listener, telling assenine stories, crooning to the car stereo, the downtrodden, intelligence, honesty, compassion, calling people 'betches', speaking my mind as often as possible, frquenting the local watering holes, concerts, forcing myself to the gym (as soon as I'm done writing this), your mom, and possibly you.

I'd like to meet:

I am always up for meeting new friends from all walks of life. I adore people who are humorous, quirky, kind, and thoughtful, particularly if they can party their asses off from time to time. I've met some fine people here on myspace, and will continue to be open to the possibility of expanding my little circle of associates, so by all means, introduce yourself. No solicitations or shameless self promotion please. Oh, and in the words of my beloved Kelly "No booty calls, deck! That's not happening..."

Music:

I usually listen to hip hop, but I think that all genres have something to offer. Some favorites: Radiohead, The Pixies, Nas, Cee-Lo, Brother Ali, Elliott Smith, The Catherine Wheel, Sage Francis, Afghan Whigs, Aimee Mann, Del the Funky Homosapien, Esthero, Doves, NIN, Common, Zero7, LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey, Scissor Sisters, Kanye West, Danger Mouse, Nelly Furtado, The Coup, Mos Def, Portishead, Beck, The Liks, Bjork, Beastie Boys, Wu-Tang, J-Live, Sigor Ros, Outkast, Cocteau Twins, Fiona Apple, DJ Abilities, TV On the Radio, Goldfrapp, Tribe Called Quest, Gnarls Barkley, New Order, Joy Division, DJ Shadow, Blackalicious, Jay-Z, Hiero, Biggie, Big L, Gang Starr, The Roots, Kool Keith, 9th Wonder, Aceyalone, D.I.T.C crew, Atmosphere, No ID, De La Soul, Beatnuts, Artifacts, My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana, The Replacements, Tricky, Massive Attack, Murs, Joey Beats, Cat Power, Fleetwood Mac Smashing Pumpkins, Jane's Addiction, Blondie, Built to Spill, Wilco, Daft Punk, Automator, Quannum, pretty much all of the hip hop that came out in the late eighties and the nineties, and all of the "alternative music" from the eighties, as well as cheeseball pop and metal hits. I also enjoy classic r&b/soul, disco, and dance/electronic stuff. I like songs that date times in my life or bring back memories. I've recently acquired a bit of a taste for Jazz. I'll give anything a chance if it seems inspired, authentically expressive, and not unbearably trite. As far as the radio goes, I like Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Justin, Christina, and whatever NERD has a hand in producing. I like comedic songs, especially by the likes of Leslie Hall, Kelly and Ill Mitch. I could go on, but I wont. Let me add, after all is said and done that "Anything but rap or country." is the wrong fucking answer to this question. If that is your reply to an inquiry about the type of music you listen to, you should definitely rethink it because you sound like a douchebag.

Movies:

I'm a movie geek like you wouldn't believe. I am particularly fond of comedies and arthouse films. Dark comedy and satire are my favorites. I can quote a million lowbrow comedy films, and will do so, over and over, not caring who thinks it's funny. I also adore a good horror movie, the occasional foreign film, and the the blockbusters that aren't too moronic to sit through. I love to see movies in the theater. I will honestly go and sit through some stupid movie just for that "cinematic experience". I won't even get mad if the movie blows, really.

Television:

I am HBO's bitch (Sopranos, Entourage, The Wire, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sex and the City, Real Sex, Big Love, whatever they pimp in my direction, really). I am Bravo's bitch ( Project Runway, Shear Genius, My Life On the D-List, Workout, Real Housewives, whatever they pimp in my direction, really). I also like Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, American Idol, and a variety of silly reality shows that I won't even list.

Books:

I enjoy books that are a bit funny, twisted, or offbeat in some way. I also love memoirs. I'm an avid reader of celebrity gossip, and magazines that cater to my interests and don't insult the intelligence of women too often.

Heroes:

Ferris Bueller.I don't really believe in role models. There are too many people in the world to learn a little something from.
