About Me

My philosophy as a bike builder and artist is to create custom motorcycles that not only look beautiful but that also will emotionally move those who see them. To me a motorcycle cannot be called custom if its construction relies on parts that are bought off the shelf, even if they are modified. When I decide to create a custom, first it has to be inspired from within and this process usually starts by listening to a piece of music. The Black Rose for instance started off by listening to a song by Marilyn Manson called This is the New Shit. In the song the words tell how everything can be bought by just mentioning a name brand and that everything is the same Everything has been said before. There's nothing left to say anymore. When it's all the same you can ask for it by name. The song inspired me to create something that had to be different , it forced me into a corner. The bike had to be so different that you just could not have anything off the shelf! I first envisioned the long evil looking hand levers but when it came to making them I realized that in order for them to work I would have to re-engineer everything so that there was enough leverage when they were activated! I was set on the design and I was forced to make it work! Most of the creation of the Black rose was like that, it was a very stressful process. I couldnt just make the leather pieces out of leather, that would have been to easy, I had to do it different. I decided to make all the leather parts out of aluminum so I went through the process of sculpting the metal and adding all the details by hand from the texture to the stitching.. I made it my goal to strive for details, lots and lots of details. I decided that this bike could in no way have foot controls bought for it, they had to be made by me and again different. The foot controls are combination stirrup type short floorboards with piercing spikes as pegs. The materials are a combination of stainless steel, brass, bronze and silver in the engravings. The seat was inspired by the Mongol riding saddles and is adorned by a pierced phallus horn and a pierced tongue in the rear which erotically licks the air. The seat metal work was all hammer formed and engraved by me just like every other part on the bike I even stitched it together myself on a 1929 singer. The brake master cylinders are stainless steel with brass work which includes the see through oil cup, their design was inspired by the Victorian age. By blending all these styles and my own imagination and using music to keep me on the same path the Black Rose was created. I strongly believe that if you buy most of your parts or you have someone else make them for you that you have no right to call yourself a custom builder. To me a custom builder must be like an artist that paints a masterpiece. The art must come from inside the artist, he and no one else must hold the brush or mix the colors. The paint jobs will for now stay black because I am not a painter and what I want people to focus on is my work not the graphics some painters use to make a so called custom bike 90% of what it is. I realize that if I follow these rules I cannot build or create as many custom motorcycles as every other builder nor will I be able to make as much money as they can but my bikes will be different and created by me. If I can only create one or maybe two customs of the caliber that I envision per year I will be a very happy man. Right now I work out of a private shop within my home which is located on the edges of the Everglades National Park in Miami Florida U.S.A. . My shop is not a big shop but it is equipped with all the tools and machinery that I would require to create what I want and when I want which depends on how I feel on a day to day basis. I dont have any deadlines when I build a bike and I cant build a bike in ten days like they do on television but I guess Ill have to live with that the rest of my life. I work alone until everything is fabricated and polished by me then I have a painter paint it black and my very trustful mechanic helps me assemble the bike and add his magic to make the engine come alive. I hope the above helps you understand a little bit of who I am and what I do. I know I am not the usual type of builder you come across in the industry but this is who I am and how I want to do things and I believe I have to be on my own and in my own world to achieve what I want to achieve in creating motorcycle art.
