My first recollection of singing in public went something like this: I was about 5 years old singing in a kids choir in church ( we all dressed like little angels) and I was like most kids-bored when I wasn't actually putting on our part of the show and so I amused myself by trying to get my brothers "halo" to fall off his head. I was asked to leave and that began my somewhat troubled relationship with churches in general ( I'll tell ya sometime)....but my brother turned out to be more angelic than I could ever imagine.....Over the years I have sang for money and attention, for love and breakfast, under the threat of rain, for a few thousand folks, a room full of cats, because I was happy or because I was in pain ( sometimes at the same time), and for free for more times than I can remember....I've traveled from one end of these states to the other, from border to border, with nothing more than a guitar, a pick-up, a suitcase, and, well, a regular paycheck ( I actually had a real job that paid me to travel ).... but I still played in every town....I think that counts for something in dog years.....I've had the pleasure of recording and performing with some amazing musicians and singers in my time. I treasure all the moments we have shared in the pursuit of one more memorable melody, one more hallowed harmony, the perfect phrase, and the simple satisfaction of sharing the company of kindred souls. And, of course,we may have had a little help from our friends....Not currently in a band I play all the instruments myself and do all the vocals on my CD "Dinosaur Bones".
