The Middle Ages by Morris Bishop- A very good survey of the middle ages from nobility to everyday life. Mr. Bishop keeps it interesting. ngThe Unabridged Works of Edgar Allan Poe by (take a wild guess)... - A great collection of all his stories and essays. For the Poe fan, this is a must have. Back when
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess - A novella about man's right to free will. Read the origional. Includes the last chapter that Kubrik cut out of the movie adaptation.
The Knights Templar by Stephen Howarth - Covers the history of the Brotherhood's birth to the conspirical events that led to it's demise. Full of anecdotes and interesting facts, this was an enjoyable read.
Dracula by Bram Stoker - A classic. The movie doesn't do the book justice. Reminiscent of H.P. Lovecraft as far as the "journal" format goes. A classic of gothic horror.
stro his stuff was going into the newspapers of the day, his work was abridged. Now you can get them in their entirety. A great writer of horror, comedy, and politics.
