Adam Gopnik for everything francophilic. George Orwell but everything EXCEPT 1984, like Keep the Aspidistra Flying and Down and Out in Paris and London. Orson Scott Card and the Ender series. Tom Wolfe (the electric kool-aid acid test) Kerouac, Ken Kesey and Ginsberg to make me incredibly sad I missed out on their times. Henry Miller. Anais Nin-her diaries especially.
