"WHO THE HELL GOT YOU STARTED?"- Undergrounder like meh started retarded with the Frisco Main Street's very own Fluid Lounge. Later someone turned me on the Anime and the conventions... and the crowds are hyped up on the Tech|Euro Beat sounds, but they do luv the Progressive shit. Dude that really helped me out was Funk Master Miko. Yeh I perfer ma 7,000 heads(small crowd) over the big ones, I get nervous an screwup all the time, but people dun seem to notice during the desert shows...
"WHAT IS THAT SHIT?"- I dig the Korean Trance, and a few J-Pan hits here an there. Hardest shit for me to randomly throw in a mix when we play Trail(one DJ plays a mix, next dj has to keep the beat|pace semi the same). Euro-Beat is redicules for me, and Jungle, Drum&Bass and Techno is quiet easier....usually because they're is no singer... hah.Some times i get deep into my mixes that i do digitaly. I'd think of a scene from a movie or a hardcore mood, tone, definition of shit around me. Some have told me my mess sounds Anime theme'ish.. would blame em... Others randomly compliment and tell me they dig my Chillout track and I'm all wha??? haha.
"ARCH-VILLAIN?"- Have to say umm... DJ.Sandman, his shit flows so smooth and his RAW mixes he does live are a hard act to follow. Also the People's champ as we call em, DJ.Tw33k has a krazee following behind his shows.. some times I wanna spin some Drum&Bass or Inustrial and then chuck a gernede into the crowd lol. "TTTWWWWWWEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!" That shit throws me off haha, but ya can't match the dude's charisma and I'd take it if I could.
