Yea, The dancing Spidey's back!!!!

About Me

••ATTENTION! I AM NOT INTERESTED IN HEARING YOUR BAND AND IF YOU ARE A WEBCAM GIRL "LOOKING FOR FRIENDS", THEN KEEP LOOKING•• That said..hello, my name's Paul and I'm a Chicago-area illustrator, storyboard artist and conceptual artist. Some basic facts about me: my sense of direction is questionable (as is my spelling and math), I'm a funny/ friendly/tailless mammal. Some of my personal fears include: dying alone and unremembered, drowning, being attacked by raging viral monkeys and super-massive blackholes. I am fluent in english and am charmingly un-cool. I once punched a magician.....yeah, you heard me. I love dogs & tolerate cats. My feelings for fish are completely abstract. I'd choose a good pie over cake anyday, and drink waaay too much bottled water. I have a tendancy to lose my car in movie theater parking lots and derive an odd sense of satisfaction when wearing a brand new pair of white cotton tube socks. Personal observation: for some reason, almost every time I walk into a bookstore I feel the need to "drop a deuce" (..too much info?). Some of my pet peeves include: people who constantly laugh at their own jokes and stories, telemarketers and people who say "Can I ask you a question?". My favorite dream is where I walk into a music store and just start playing the guitar (sometimes piano) like a savant or something. My worst nightmare is where all my teeth start falling out...or worse, they start to chip & break into jagged shards (that freaks me the fuck out!) I own a replica sabertooth tiger skull...just thought i'd mention that. I have yet to master the 5 point palm exploding heart technique, and still haven't found a girl who is measurably impressed by my ability to draw monsters. I enjoy collaborating with other fun/ inspiring/ creative/ interesting people, but you certainly don't have to be "artsy" to be my friend...and lastly, NO I don't really make THAT amount of money.I HAVE A WEBSITE IF YOU'RE INTERESTED:

My Interests

I hope to some day have my cake and eat it too, while simultaneously looking a gift horse in the mouth.

I'd like to meet:

here's some shameless self-promotion instead:

Music:

beck, radiohead, wilco, whitestripes, cake, the beta band, the webb brothers, super furry animals, foo fighters, liz phair, queens of the stoneage, tool, little feat, gomez, pixies, interpol, lcd soundsystem, isis, elvis costello, the strokes, doves, the police, some bjork, secret machines, rolling stones, bob dylan, squirrel nut zippers, mad villans, blur, franz ferdinand, isis, granddaddy, the shins, postalservice, probot, stereolab, everclear, elliot smith, the ben folds 5, the mooney suzuki, nin, prefuse 73, clinic, gorillaz, movie soundtracks (like snatch, rushmore, garden state, fight club, pulp fiction, stranger than fiction, etc)........

Television:

the office, deadwood, lost, family guy, old cartoons, new cartoons, and any "educational-type" science shows that trick me into learning something useful. I'm not much into watching t.v. sports...unless it's something crazy like robotic cock fighting or synchronized water fencing.

Books:

Stephen King is fun to read. I'm a big fan of Fritz Lieber's old books. I buy alot of art books and reference books/mags. And I have absolutely no desire in reading "The Davinci Code". I'd also like to someday illustrate a children's book...any good writers out there looking to network?

Heroes:

if i was ever to get a tattoo....
