About Me

you are either a record nerd or not a scenester at
all. you are the coolest of the bunch. bravo,
dude.
what type of lame scenester are you?
brought to you by QuizillaFirst and foremost I am a musician. I've been playing musical instruments for as long as I can remember. I've been performing live in various bands since '88 and have loved every single minute of it. I'm not too preoccupied with the "Rockstar" fantasy, if I was, I'm sure I'd have packed it in long ago. I'll be playing my guitar for people as long as I physically can, which I'm hoping will be a long, long time. As an avid musician, I've got quite an extensive catalog of music & try to discover new sounds as often as possible.Ok, so I still have a great disdain for ignorance and stupidity, but I'll try not to dwell on that too much here. I've been kicking around this rock for a fair chunk of time & have figured out that I'm truly comfortable with who and what I am. Of course I'm always in search of ways to refine & better myself as I'm quite convinced that everything is ultimately what you make of it. Stagnation = Death in my mind. Why not strive to continually evolve? Change is the only true constant in this life. So why not embrace it and see what you can get out of each and every situation encountered. Whether they be "good" or "bad", they simply are. Your perception of and reaction to the situation is entirely up to you. It's a shame that more people can't figure this seemingly simple concept out...

My Interests

Writing, performing and recording with my band - Daughters of Fission. Passionate women. Reading thought provoking books. Discovering new music that makes me rethink my approach to writing. Good Art in any shape, type or medium. Contemplating life and its unending breadth of experience and expression. Travelling to new locales for the experience. Stimulating conversations with intelligent people that don't necessarily share my point of view. Living in and for the now because that's all there really is.

I'd like to meet:

Open-minded, free thinking individuals with a propensity for original thought. People that "get" art in its multitudes of style and form. Not in a pretentious shitty way, but a more visceral & real one. Other musicians, artists, writers, etc.
