Originally from England, Phoebe is a violinist, viola player and singer. Currently fiddling with WA's newest alt-country darlings The Fancy Brothers she also plays with Matt Gresham, Pete Stone , Dave Johnson and The Justin Walshe Folk Machine and is in regular demand as a recording session artist. Since moving to Fremantle, WA in 2005 she has played with a variety of performers including Shane Howard, Neil Murray, John Butler, Carus, Tonchi, The Hussy Hicks, Saritah, Tijuana Cartel, The Dave Mann Collective, The Cortinas, Freya Hanly and That Brutal Moon, Loren, Ganga Giri, Bomba, Indijika, Leena, Product Placement, BoyGirl and Dream State Circus. She also dj's psy trance under the dj name MisChief.In England she was the lead singer of several bands including Plan and Fun Time for Philip as well as the leader of the Harwood Quartet for 16 years and singer with cabaret group Big as the Ritz. More recently in the UK she played with many bands and musicians including Jo & Oddur, Lucky Four, PaperTwin, Alison David, the Magic Hat and In Lak’Esh.She was the festival director of Earthdance WA, is event co-ordinator of the Gimme Shelter fundraiser for the homeless and runs a music management, publicity and event business. She manages Matt Gresham and works as West Coast agent for a number of acts including Tijuana Cartel and Tonchi McIntosh.
