Amanda Wells

I don't take good pictures 'cause I have the kind of beauty that moves.

About Me

Gender: Feminine
Pronounced: a-MAN-da (English), ah-MAHN-dah (Spanish, Italian)
Created in the 17th century by the playwright Colley Cibber, who based it on Latin amanda meaning "lovable".

Just another statistic in the amazing amount of people who want to do something with their lives, but will probably end up otherwise because they worry too fracking much about never accomplishing anything in the first place.
Oh yeah. I'm an artist. And a musician. Imagine that.
I write a lot of music and I have some up here . Oh boy, my website is back up, so you can check it out. Soon (hopefully) it will have an entirely different layout. Hopefully. When I can find time to make that happen.
I have mild OCD. It pretty much takes over my mind most of time. And it is apparently a huge source of amusement for my friends. Mostly, I just have to make sure things "feel" even. I can't really explain it; you would have to witness it. I guess. Or not. Sigh.
I'm a big geek. I play D&D on Sundays. Or I did before BSG was scheduled on Sunday nights. I also like math a lot. And... I read Harry Potter. I can barely remember my life without Potter. I am so much happier now. Haha.
Once upon a time (and were I to have the time to lack a life to do so again) I was addicted to EverQuest. Ten to Fourteen HOURS a day were devoted to romping through Norrath with my Paladin buddy, Zaven . How I miss it. The Ice Giants. Druids and Paladins fighting for my affection. The... dying?
I have awesome friends, and many are listed below. I also have an amazing boyfriend who never ceases to make me smile . Awww. Kind of makes you want to vomit, doesn't it?
I also have cats. They rock my socks. Threadbare.
Robb: i am running on caffeine and nerdrenaline (the adrenaline you get when coding)
antifemmenazi on AIM
I'm usually on, though, most likely away.
The place from whence I hail.

My Interests

The arts. You name it. I like it, do it, or am extremely envious because I want to do it.
I like to talk. And laugh. And I don't believe in God. Too much scientific proof otherwise. I believe in Earth energies. I like Harry Potter. A lot. I also like Wine. But it makes me sick anymore. And boobs. Only on girls, though. And I have some. Boobs, that is. Makes it even better.
I excessively use the following words/phrases on a daily basis: Cunt. Fuck. Fantastic. Amazing. Wonderul. Your mom.
Robb's a big cunt. He's also my boyfriend. And my DM. He can kill me, and all my animal companions, but I'll still call him a cunt anyway. It's like a pet name, I guess. He did recently (as of 6/02/2007) give me an animal companion back. We'll see how long that lasts.
Pretty much. I like geeky things. And geeky people.

Amanda Is Poor

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet musicians in the Lancaster, or near to Lancaster area who want to play music. Seriously. No Fuckers. I am tired of people who bash folk. Just remember, when the apocolypse happens I will have my acoustic guitar and I will use it to play for food that is not radioactive. But seriously. I play guitar, and piano (not perfectly), and I love harmonies. I also own many different intruments that I can make my away around. Hit me up and maybe something can happen.
I also would like to meet models who would want to pose for portraits. I am very into fantasy art (D&D style, not Erotica), so if you think you would make a good Elf, or an Orc, or whatever...contact me.
If you are a dork you will be in good company with me.

If you have cats, you should introduce them to my awesome boys, Kujo and Kyo, and my little girl, Ona.
And finally, I am not into having a threesome with you and your boyfriend. I'm not going to show you my tits. And eventually I will find a way to kick you in the nuts via the computer. I'm not trying to "hook up" with anyone. I think it's lame when people hook up over the internet anyway. And if you're scoffing right now it's only because you've tried before.
Lame.

Heroes:

I wish that in this time and age that there were more people to be inspired by. As a femminist and female musician I am inspired by, and in awe of Ms. Difranco. As an artist in general struggling with the battle of my emotions and their relationships with everything I create, I admire Nick Drake. As a musician trying to find a place amidst an evergrowing sea of performers who mostly lack originality, I respect both Ani and Nick because they broke the barriers for folk and what can be done with a guitar, and poetically with words.
My family, while never doing anything super spectacular or extremely notable, remains a large influence on my life. I learn from their mistakes and I take joy from the moments of happiness. Mostly, their experiences and my interactions with them throughout my life have shaped how I live my life and will continue to do so.
Someday I hope to do something that inspires others.
