Zendoryu Karate Association was founded in 1987 by Grandmaster Paul Bowman 8th dan. He began training under Grandmaster George Dillman (9th Dan) Kyusho Jitsu in 1989, the other great influences in his life are Professor Wally Jay (founder of Small Circle Jujitsu); and another is the late Professor Remy Presas (founder of Modern Arnis), who together with Master George Dillman were collectively known as the "Big Three". Grandmaster Paul Bowman was awarded Master Instructor in the US Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2001 and awarded recognition for outstanding contributions to the development of martial arts in the U.K and around the world by Combat Magazine Hall of Fame in 2006. More recently he has been expanding his learning in Kiaido with Grandmaster Song Park (the indepth study of using sound with pressure points). He has now been awarded his 5th dan instructor Master level in Kiaido and is the UK representative. Combining all these styles we are now Zendoryu Martial Arts!
