My dedication and commitment to stopping violence has been dauntless. This unwavering determination evolved seventeen years ago when my only brother, slain NYC Councilman James E. Davis (background picture) and I examined ways in which to prevent killings that were permeating our community due to the infestation of drugs.I am a community activist, lecturer, counselor, humanitarian, and dedicated individual. I also Co-founded the Love Yourself Stop The Violence organization and as a result of my beloved brother's assasination inside New York City Hall on July 23, 2003, we formed the James E. Davis Arts Building, The James E. Davis Members Lounge (inside New York City Hall), The James E. Davis Oak Tree of Peace (inside The Brooklyn Botanic Garden), The James E. Davis Library, James E. Davis Avenue (on Nostrand Avenue between Atlantic Avenue and Eastern Parkway),The James E. Davis Memorial Tomb Stone (inside Ever Greene Cemetery), and The James E. Davis Training Program.
