Since 1983, Castillo has staged over 100 productions — from multi-cultural and avant-garde plays, to musicals and performance projects.Signature works produced by Castillo include Sally and Tom(The American Way), a musical portrayal of the love affair between President Thomas Jefferson and his slave Sally Hemings; Stealin’ Home, about baseball great Jackie Robinson and his white, southern teammate Pee Wee; and Sessions with Jesus, in which the messiah seeks help from a therapist.
