About Me

I'm a pretty average guy, but when a Texan tells the truth, it always sounds like he's bragging. I can order food and ask directions in any language. I've cycled across two continents. I've been arrested five times in Texas for unpaid traffic tickets. I've slept in a snow cave in the Arctic, under an Autobahn overpass, on an M-1 in the Mojave, and in the city hall of Mainz Germany. I've had over thirty jobs, none of which i did well. But still, when i tell the stories it still somehow sounds boring.

Th’ wearin’ o’the Kilt: genetics, ethnicity and identity

Just got back from Chris Kmita's church wedding in Edinburgh. It may have been one of the best weddings i've ever been to, even considering the Scottish food. One of the reasons it was so great was be...

baard of geen baard?

some of my friends here claim that with a beard I look like a german, which is about the worst thing non-german europeans can say about someone. Normally I wouldn't put too much emphasis on stuff like...
