About Me

.
We proceed from the belief that the best way to learn to do almost anything is by doing it. And, we feel that this is particularly true about learning to play music.

Our goals at the Paul Green School of Rock Music are: to help our students realize their potential as artists, to put them on stage in front of as many people as possible and to help foster a new generation of incredible musicians. From the moment a student joins one of our schools they are PLAYING music; loud, on professional equipment with other musicians. Before long, our students are playing live rock concerts. These are not your old fashioned wait -through-fifty-other-students mangling-their-songs- until-your-child’s- turn-arrives recitals, but real rock concerts at real rock venues in front of real rock audiences.

INSTRUCTORS

MARK BIONDI EXECUTIVE MUSIC DIRECTOR
The award winning New Jersey born drummer/producer has toured extensively since 1994. Mark has shared the stage with such national acts as Third Eye Blind, Living Colour, Eve 6, Vertical Horizon, and Sugar Ray. He maintains an active musical career with the band Automatic Black (Arista Records). Mark is also a sought after session drummer recently recording for Grammy Award Winner John Legend (Sony/BMG/Columbia).
Mark has also written music for the band Steamroller Picnic and has had his music featured on MTV's Advanced Warning. Along with the drums, Mark is also an accomplished producer, guitar and bass player. "I am looking forward to translating my years of touring experience into a real rock and roll education for these kids".

ART LIMA MUSIC DIRECTOR - Art began his musical career playing trumpet at age 9. After a year, he began guitar lessons as well, and continued to pursue both instruments until age 15, when he decided to concentrate entirely on guitar. Throughout grammar school and high school Art participated in various ensembles including concert and jazz bands, which gave him the foundation for most of his knowledge of music theory that he apply to his guitar-playing now.
Art attended the University of Connecticut where he gained a lot of experience performing in front of larger crowds with various bands. After finishing college, Art started an original band project, Lazy Sunday, which allowed him much improvisational freedom. Lazy Sunday played mainly in local Northern NJ clubs for about two years until the members each decided to pursue other projects.
The next band Art fronted, The Rhythm Method, was a three-piece blues/funk cover band prevalent in the Northern New Jersey bar and club scene. In late 2001, he was offered the lead guitar spot with The Zone, a popular Philadelphia area cover band with a large market share in the Northeast. Along with performing at some of the most successful clubs, venues, and corporate event coordinators in the northeast corridor (PA, NJ, NY, VT, DE, VA, and MA), Art has also shared the stage with such national acts as Jimmy Buffet and Fuel.
