Kurhaus was founded in 1996 as a hardcore band somewhere in the rural areas of northern germany. After having released two demos, one album ("last exit: revolution", 2000), one ep ("lifesigns&scars", 2002) and more than 150 live shows we finally hit it hard with the album "refuse to be dead" (cd:2004, lp:2005).
We know where we come from, we know the roots of the hardcore and punk we love and live but above our heads there are these six letters flashing in bright colours: "C-H-A-N-G-E"!
To stay important hardcore and punk must constantly evolve and alter. Otherwise they become folklore or a topic for the classic rock radio stations.
It's all about energy, honesty and sincerity. We don't need another fad, we don't need no fashioncore. We need social struggle and political change.
As long as we have fists to raise and hearts to give we will be out there on stage, killing ourselves to become free, destroying the world to build anew. "It's not about being cool but death and resurrection!"
