AYO means JOY, born to Nigerian parents, from Yoruba land but raised in FRANCE and its french project, grew up to screw up in the 93 district of PARIS, but MUSIC helped me not to follow the rules of the streets. I started singing back vocals at 10 in an New Jack group (with my big bro, my uncle and a familly friends) Then in 1995, at 12 yrs old started a Rap group, part of the OFX posse, later in 1997 the posse splited up and some members went their way to become part of the worldwide known SAIAN SUPA CREW (R.I.P KLR & AIR-V), we went our way performing and recording tracks at studio where we met most of today's french rap scene. In 1997 we recorded a track featured in a compilation called TH6, having air-play on GENERATION 88.2 FM radio and FPP 106.3, that track got to FOKAL PRODUCTION filming crew attention, they loved the track so much that decided to shot a video of the track FOR FREE, It had heavy rotation on french cable MCM, MCM AFRICA, M6... (first unsigned group to shot a video with the french HYPE WILLIAMS style) we got records on mix tapes and perform on concerts with the likes of MAFIA K'1FRY, K REEN, DIAM'S, MENAGE A 3, L'SKADRILLE, LA LEGION, SAIAN SUPA CREW, LA CAUTION, LA FF... to name a few. After a decade rapping and working with unprofessional people, it made me take a step back in the recording process. Finishing an A-LEVEL in business, in 2004 i made an internship at 360 COMMUNICATION, a marketing consulting and promotion company, i worked in the street team recovering paris from boards and flyer, i worked on different promotion campaign including, french rap star BOOBA, THE ROOTS, DEF JAM CATALOGUE, SPLINTER CELL (UBISOFT), MOVIES... after that wonderfull experiences in street marketing, i decided to continue my studies in LONDON in MARKETING/ADVERTISING. In 2005, I worked as an assistant at ALL CITY MUSIC, an idependant record company distributing via PIAS, the likes of ALCHEMIST, LORD FINESSE, AASIM, P.MONEY, and UK finest SWAY, BABY J, SHAMELESS, PYRELLI... at the moment im concentrating on my studies and also working on different pojects including a compilation, a documentary with a new team, CEASER MUSIC GROUP. 2008 THE STORY CONTINUES, STAY TUNED!!!
