Formed in July 2002, the band has been playing in various venues on Oahu along side local bands like Ooklah the Moc, Go Jimmy Go, Irie Souls, & Stir Crazy. The Ionz has also had the privilage of opening for reggae stars like Dezarie, Bambu Station, Tanya Stephens, Pam Hall, Third World, and Alpha Blondy.
