MySpace LayoutsFridays Mean Tanya formed in late 2002 out of Mt. Juliet, TN. The majority of the current members knew each other from playing in prior bands. Some of us have been playing alongside one another for almost five years. We've had minor line-up changes here and there, but for the most part FMT has stayed the same. We are in love with the music we play. All we ask is that you give us a chance. Hear what we have to offer and what we have to say. This is the product of our heart.
FMT has shared the stage with bands such as: The Receiving End of Sirens, Folly, The Sleeping, He Is Legend, Calico System, Across Five Aprils, Outsmarting Simon, A Thorn For Every Heart, Royden, All Time Low, Rookie of the Year, The Human Flight Committee, YouInSeries, As Tall As Lions, Ever Since Radio, New Republic, Small Towns Burn a Little Slower, Pistolita, NOISE WAGON, and November Kills.

"The complex harmonic interactions, playful time signatures, and the exceptional talent of the guys in Fridays Mean Tanya amount to a band thats sum is greater than its parts, if that is possible. Sometimes among high school/young college-aged bands the musicianship can come across as average, or perhaps among such bands there might be one member who shines as the primary talent among them. Not so with Fridays Mean Tanya - all five members possess equally abundant musical dexterity far beyond their years suggest, and the EP they have tracked at the Sound Lair is a gemstone of a debut offering for a band that has taken its time to 'get it right' the first time. FMT are among the family that is the roster of Eye Love Records which also includes A Healing Season, who were also here earlier this year. The competitive Nashville Music scene to which FMT has acclaimed them with a recent first place prize in a heated battle of the bands competition - and deservedly so, for the depth of their multi-layered guitar parts and intelligent lyricism means that this band's music will present something new with each listen"
