Rock'n'roll is dead...Not according to Atlanta rockers Love Said No. Though the aforementioned statement is also the title of one of the band's songs, it is meant to be ironic. In fact, as far as vocalist Erik Rogers, Guitarist, Billy Grey and drummer Frank Fontsere are concerned Rock'n'roll is more than alive and well.
Coming together in late 2006 after having previously
played in bands such as , Stereomud
and Stuck Mojo, the members of Love Said No form a
cohesive and dynamic unit that mixes an aggressive,
modern rock sound with a less dark and more
approachable lyrical style.
After Columbia recording artists Stereomud disbanded
in 2003, vocalist Erik Rogers pursued new musical
avenues leading to the formation of Soundevice which
also featured guitarist Billy Grey. The band recorded
one indie album and toured with such acts as
Collective Soul and Sevendust. The usual music
business pressures left the band without a drummer in
late 2005 and this slot was filled temporarily by
former Nickleback skinman Ryan Vikidal who was then
replaced by Frank Fontsere after severing ties with
his band Stuck Mojo. Eventually, the band's bassist
and second guitarist decided to pursue other careers
while Erik, Billy, and Frank continued writing for a
new project. Love Said No was Born !!!!
2007 was then finished out
with a sucessful two and a half month U.S. tour with
Primer 55. With much more touring and recording
planned for 2008, The boys in Love Said No plan to
prove to the world, very loudly, that Rock'n'Roll
definitely AIN'T DEAD.
