Like many musicians, Darryl started out in the church. He started playing keyboards and piano at the age of 11 at his fathers church. There is where his love for music really started to flurish. Listenin to people such as The Winans, Commisioned, Walter Hawkins and Thomas Whitfield just to name a few, cultivated him into an established church musician. Around the age of 16, Darryl began to write songs and sequence his own tracks on his keyboard. Subsequently his gospel roots were overshadowed for his love for "wordly music". Most of the songs that he would write would be more R&B driven. His production style was heavily influence by the likes of Teddy Riley, Dr. Dre, Rodney Jerkins, and more personally his best friend and conrad Demonte Posey. At 18, Darryl landed a job playing for the largest black church in Milwaukee, Christian Faith Fellowship Church, at that time and there his talent really took off. Having the oppurtunity to play for many of the artist that would come, BeBe Winans, Donny McClurkin, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Dorinda Clark and Kurt Carr just to name a few.
Now at the age of 30, Darryl has written and produced for alot of the local talent in his city. Helping with demos and developing talent has become a joy for him.
